The National Institute of Statistics (INE) is recruiting 700 census takers in the Algarve to carry out the 2021 censuses in the region. A Nacional level, 11 thousand people will be hired to make this survey.
Those interested in applying to do this work, under a Service Provision Agreement, may do so until the 21st, by completing the form available online. on the Census website.
The census takers will have the function of collecting “census information from the accommodations/families”.
The 16th General Population Census and the 6th General Housing Census, "the largest national statistical operation carried out by INE", will start in April.
«The Censuses will “count” all citizens and families residing in the national territory, as well as all accommodation and buildings intended for housing. In order to guarantee the quality of the execution of the Censuses and to guard against the risks for the population, census takers and other collection structures that the operation entails in the current epidemiological context, INE defined a Contingency Plan», according to INE.
"The 2021 Census Contingency Plan includes, among other measures, the observance of a strict public health security protocol under the rules issued by the health authorities, a strategy that reinforces the option for collecting information through the Internet and support to the population through a telephone line, with the possibility of telephone answering directed essentially to population groups with greater difficulty in answering via the Internet or who are unable to make contact in person, namely for reasons of public health.
