Ten caravans were fined, in Armação de Pêra, by the GNR, this Tuesday, for overnight or parking in prohibited places.
According to the GNR, the infractions were detected in the scope of “several inspection actions to combat illegal caravanning and wild camping, with special incidence in the locality of Armação de Pêra”.
The Guarda Nacional Republicana recalls that, with the entry into force of the new amendments to the Highway Code, "the overnight stay and parking of motorhomes or similar outside of expressly authorized places for that purpose are prohibited".
This infraction is sanctioned with a fine of 60 to 300 euros, except in the case of an area of the Natura 2000 Network and protected areas, in which case the fine is 120 to 600 euros.
