Man arrested who had a cannabis greenhouse in Silves

Military seized 53 cannabis plants

A 64-year-old man who had a cannabis greenhouse in an annex of the house where he lived, in Silves, was arrested this Monday by the GNR for drug trafficking and cultivation.

In a note sent to the newsrooms, the GNR said that, as part of an investigation, which had been going on for about two months, the military carried out house searches and searches in two vehicles, "which culminated in the dismantling of a cannabis greenhouse that the suspect had in a attached to his residence'.

In total, the GNR seized 53 cannabis plants, 103 cannabis doses, a precision scale and a lighting, refrigeration and fertilizer system, which were used in the cultivation.

The detainee was present at the first interrogation in the Judicial Court of Portimão, for the application of coercive measures.
