Vila do Bispo marks the Municipality Day with three webinars

Online sessions will "allow people to participate securely from their homes"

Three webinars will mark, on the 22nd of January, the Day of the Municipality of Vila do Bispo. 

According to the municipality, these online sessions will "allow people to participate safely from their homes."

“Plants Endangered with Extinction – The Red List of Vascular Flora of Portugal” is the theme of the first webinar, by biologist André Carapeto (Portuguese Botany Society), which will take place on January 20, from 21 pm.

In this lecture a brief description of the project «Red List of Vascular Flora of Continental Portugal» and its main results will be made. Several cases of endangered species will also be presented, in which a summarized analysis of the causes responsible for their decline will be made.

The second webinar, scheduled for the 22nd of January, it is entitled “Vila do Bispo: A Sacred Territory”.

The online conversation, through the Zoom platform, will be attended by Father José Chula, parish priest of Vila do Bispo, Artur de Jesus (Historian) and Ricardo Soares (archaeologist) from Vila do Bispo City Council.

Throughout this session, participants will present reflections on the Cabo de S. Vicente area, addressing its history, cultural and religious influence over time to the present day and its importance for the territory of Vila do Bispo.

The initiative is scheduled for 21:30 pm. To participate, interested parties must register by the 21st of January here

On the 23rd of January, at 21 pm, the Webinar “Origins#00” will take place, featuring the musician and composer Sandy Kilpatrick.
At this event, the artist will present his book, followed by a concert.

The initiative will take place on the Zoom platform, upon registration until the 22nd of January. Those interested in participating should apply through this link.
