The Government has created a program to support the Culture sector, with a global allocation of 42 million euros, in a first phase, which will provide “universal, non-competitive and outright support”, announced today the minister Graça Fonseca.

Garantir a Cultura, "with a global value of 42 million euros", in a first phase, is the "materialization of the program created by the 2021 State Budget law to support artistic work", said the Minister of Culture Graça Fonseca, in press conference to present Government support measures to the sectors most affected by the restrictions imposed by the fight against the covid-19 pandemic, taking place this afternoon at Palácio da Ajuda, in Lisbon.

Graça Fonseca underlined that this is "universal support, not open to competition and non-payment", which is addressed to: collective entities (all companies, theaters, promoters, agents, independent movie theaters, film clubs, but also natural persons , as artists, technicians and authors).
