Rogil's Children's House “wins” 121 euros to help clean up the accounts

IPSS had its application to the Social Relief Fund approved

Casa da Criança do Rogil will receive up to 121 thousand euros from the Social Relief Fund to clean up the institution's accounts, following the approval of an application submitted for this financial instrument by the Ministry of Labour, Solidarity and Social Security.

This application is part of a joint strategy of the IPSS and several entities «to find solutions to the financial imbalance of this IPSS, above all in the area of Health, through the Long and Medium Duration Unit», according to the City Council of Aljezur.

This strategy was outlined at a meeting held in June 2019, which was attended by the director of the Social Security regional delegation, the president of the Regional Health Administration, the board of Casa da Criança and the City Council.

“From the set of measures and solutions pointed out, the possibility of increasing the number of beds in the Unit emerged, as well as the application to the Social Relief Fund and starting a support audit”, according to the municipality.

Since then, five more beds have been approved, which has increased the total capacity of the Long and Medium Duration Unit “from 30 to 35”, and the support audit was carried out. Now, the application to the Social Relief Fund has been approved.

«The municipality of Aljezur, which has always followed and supported this institution, with which it maintains a series of protocols for social responses to the municipality's families, expresses its gratitude to all those involved so that these measures were possible, with a Special thanks to the efforts of the Minister, Ana Mendes Godinho. We will thus remain committed to helping and collaborating with Casa da Criança, a very important IPSS for our municipality», concluded the City Council of Aljezur.
