University of Algarve participates in the European Council of Languages

The University of Algarve (UAlg) will participate in the annual forum of the European Council of Languages ​​(CEL) which runs until this Friday, December 4th, through the online platform Teams. 

The aim of this initiative is “to reflect on the future of multilingualism in higher education and on the concept of internationalization in the Covid era and, above all, post-Covid”.

​​​​​​​In addition to Manuel Célio Conceição, professor at the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences (FCHS) and one of the organizers of the event, the paragram will also feature the participation of Marleni Azevedo, responsible for the Office of International Relations and Mobility of UAlg

This event is held annually and aims to present and discuss research results in the areas of multilingualism and the management of linguistic diversity, especially in higher education, and their respective societal impact.

Reflections on future lines of research and action will also be presented, relating the place of languages ​​in the production and dissemination of knowledge (of science) and respect for the diversity of speakers and their respective rights.
