The Câmara de Tavira offered Christmas hampers to a thousand socially vulnerable families residing in the six parishes of the municipality.
“This measure is adopted every year by the municipality. However, given the current context of the pandemic, there was a need to strengthen the protection of the weakest groups in the Tavirense community, through the attribution of vouchers for the purchase of essential foodstuffs. This action results in support for 215 households», revealed the Câmara de Tavira.
This is yet another measure implemented by the municipality that aims to “minimize the impact of the pandemic on the lives of the population” and it adds to another, in different areas, which have been taken since the beginning of the pandemic.
