Young people suspected of robbing stores and gas stations detained in Quarteira

According to the GNR, these arrests took place "following an investigation that had been going on for three months".

Two young people, both 17 years old, suspected of more than a dozen robberies in commercial establishments and gas stations, were arrested this Tuesday, December 15, in Quarteira. 

According to the GNR, these arrests took place "following an investigation that had been going on for three months".

"The military guard found that the suspects were acting with violence, resorting to bladed weapons, having carried out more than a dozen robberies on public roads, as well as in commercial establishments and fuel stations," he adds.

“After police investigations, two arrest warrants and two house search warrants were complied with, which culminated in the seizure of three knives and various articles of clothing,” he adds.

The detainees will be present today, December 16, at the Judicial Court of Faro, for the application of coercive measures.
