Military personnel from the GNR's Albufeira Territorial Detachment seized on Saturday, the 5th, several counterfeit articles, worth an estimated three thousand euros, during a stop operation carried out in that city.
Guard soldiers approached a vehicle in which the suspect, a 28-year-old man, was carrying items, including clothing, sports shoes and perfume. Because it was counterfeiting and illegal use of the trademark, the suspect was identified and the material was seized, and the facts were referred to the Court of Albufeira.
The Guarda Nacional Republicana recalls that the main objective of this type of action is to ensure compliance with industrial property rights, essentially aiming at combating counterfeiting, illegal use of trademarks and the sale of counterfeit items.
