Faro makes a video that projects hope “After the Shadow”

Film "intentionally seeks to escape the traditional Christmas message"

The Chamber of Faro launched “Depois da Sombra”, a video that aims to “project a message of hope through the hand of culture, the arts and their agents” in this Christmas season.

The video, which "intentionally seeks to evade the traditional Christmas message", is part of a "broad campaign of support, projection and recognition of the various sectors of society affected by the pandemic", according to the municipality of Farense.

This film “carries with itself and within itself a message with a broad spectrum, as it is intended to apply to all communities, sectors and citizens. An analogy between the pandemic context, a dancer, her shadow and her struggle to recover her movements, as a reflection of the impact of the virus in the lives of all of us».

«Thus, as in the words of the text interpreted by actor Albano Jerónimo, “After the shadow, after the fear of these cold hours, the burning soul tells us greater and raises the spirit in fire, which in a previously contained cry frees us from this pain . Your silhouette dances in tones of life and grace, because in the reflection of who we are there is neither chaos nor disgrace, there is the strength of huge people, who at the end of the curved road, Turns into color, what blurs life”», describes the Chamber of Faro

This is the result of a collaboration between the Municipality and New Light Pictures, with the participation of Camada – Centro Choreográfica and Teatro das Figuras.

«To Carolina Alentejano, the protagonist and a dancer with an undeniably promising future, the Municipality of Faro expresses its gratitude for its interpretation”, concluded the municipality.
