Portimão Municipal Library and schools celebrate Christmas with stories and decorating tips

Library offers kit, consisting of materials and instructions that will allow you to create a personalized Christmas decoration

The Municipal Library and schools in Portimão will celebrate Christmas with stories for children and tips on decorations for this festive season.

Opening the program this week, on days to be determined by each educational establishment, there will be a free and dramatized adaptation of the short story “Feliz Natal Lobo Mau”, by Clara Cunha and Natalina Cóias, directed to kindergartens and schools of the 1st and 2nd cycles.

In parallel, the Library will promote the handicraft workshop “How do you make a Christmas ornament?”, for the same target audience, and entries should be sent to the email: [email protected]

Between the 21st and 25th of December, and aimed at children from the age of three, can be viewed online here the short stories “O Livro do Natal”, by José Jorge Letria and Afonso Cruz (on the 21st), “Babushka”, by Sandra Ann Horn and Sophie Fatus (on the 22nd), “A kiss for Father Christmas”, by Elisabeth Coudol and Nancy Pierre (23rd), “The best gift in the world”, by Mark Sperring and Lucy Fleming (24th) and “Merry Christmas Lobo Mau”, by Clara Cunha and Natalina Cóias (25th).

Every day, at 22 pm, the Manuel Teixeira Gomes Municipal Library will present suggestions for Christmas tales for adults.

On the other hand, from December 18th, interested parties will be able to go to the Library to collect the “(A)gift with us” gift kit, consisting of materials and instructions that will allow the creation of a personalized Christmas decoration.
