Lagoa marked the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women

Offer of artwork to the CPCJ marked the day

The Municipality of Lagoa marked yesterday, November 25th, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, with the delivery of a work of art to the Commission for the Protection of Children and Youth of Lagoa (CPCJ), and the exhibition of a work in the atrium of the Town Hall.

This was the symbolic way in which the Municipality marked this date, while publicly acknowledging the excellent cooperation and work that the institutions carry out in addressing the problems of domestic violence.

The artwork delivered was produced for this purpose by the students of the Mestre Fernando Rodrigues School of Arts, in Lagoa, and will be exhibited at the CPCJ facilities, located at CEFLA – Center for Studies and Training in Lagoa

The Commission for the Protection of Children and Youth, established in Lagoa for 18 years, is one of the municipality's main partners in the work carried out with families, in identifying risk situations and promoting protection measures, promoting social equality and inclusion. and the well-being of all citizens.

We also highlight the excellent collaboration that exists between the Municipality of Lagoa and the CPCJ», said vice president Anabela Simão on this occasion.

The Municipality of Lagoa has, in recent years, marked this day with the delivery of various works of art to its partners. In 2019, it delivered a work of art to the Directorate-General for Reinsertion and Prison Services (DGRSP) of Portimão, the body responsible for criminal prevention, execution of sentences, social reinsertion and management of the educational and prison systems. As early as 2018, the offer was made to the Criminal Prevention and Community Policing Section of the GNR's Silves Territorial Post.
