A photographic exhibition, with photos on the route of Cerro do Bufo, will cover, from December onwards, the territory of Baixo Guadiana.

After selecting the big winners of the Photographic Proof of Cerro do Bufo, which took place from September 22 to October 5, the jury selected a set of photographs that will be part of this exhibition, which will bring together 25 images.

In total, the organization received 45 photographs on topics such as ecosystems, habitats, avifauna and hydrological heritage.

The first place went to João Lelo with the photograph «Convívio». Second on the podium, Nuno Pires with the «B&W» photography. In third, Daniela Silva with «Table». Among the prizes are a boat trip along the Guadiana, a zip line jump (cross-border slide) and a trip to the saline spa, from 1st to 3rd place, respectively. There were also three honorable mentions.

The big news is that the jury selected a set of 25 photographs that are part of the traveling exhibition that will tour the territory of Baixo Guadiana. The opening takes place in December at Mercado Local (Local Market) in Castro Marim.

In Vila Real de Santo António, the exhibition will be received at the Vicente Campinas Municipal Library in February.

In Alcoutim, it will be in March at Casa dos Condes.

This exhibition results directly from the Photographic Proof of the «Cerro do Bufo Trail» and aimed to enhance and promote the natural heritage, as well as instigate reflection on the need to know, promote and conserve biodiversity.

The trail of Cerro do Bufo belongs to the Natural Reserve of Sapal de Castro Marim and VRSA. It is a public, open-air, linear, pedestrian/cycling path, with a distance of about 10,5 kilometers (round trip) and has an avifauna observatory.
