easyJet will open, on December 19th, a new seasonal route between Faro and Amsterdam, in the Netherlands. The operation will have one flight per week and two during the Christmas period, between December 22nd and 29th, and will be available until March 27th.

The British low cost airline explains that the opening of this route was decided after the Dutch government included Portugal in its list of safe destinations in terms of Covid-19.

«We are very pleased to continue to announce new routes, not only because we respond to a growing demand from our customers, who want destinations with good temperatures where they can switch off in winter, but because we contribute to the restoration of connectivity and do so safely in a context key to aviation and the Portuguese economy in particular», said José Lopes, director of easyJet in Portugal.

The airline adds that this new route aims to "leverage the market for homeowners, with holiday homes in Portugal, which has to be stimulated with an offer".

Reservations for the new route can now be made on the easyjet website.
