The film «Your smile is one of the secrets of the Algarve» (2019), produced by New Light Pictures for Turismo do Algarve, it won first prize in the “Advertising Campaign” category and second in the “Social Responsibility” category of the national competition for the 13th edition of ART&TUR – International Tourism Film Festival, held in Viseu.
Altogether, Turismo do Algarve won four awards at the film festival, including the «Festival Director Award», which distinguished the campaign «O Algarve is fine», another production with the New Light Pictures seal, and second place in the category “Tourist Destinations – Regions”, with the video “Rota EuroVelo 1”, a DNA Films production.
The three promotional films from the Algarve had already been distinguished at the 9th edition of Finisterra – Arrábida Film Art & Tourism Festival, which took place in Sesimbra at the beginning of October, with first place in the «Sport» category («Rota EuroVelo 1 »), the second in the category of «Best Advertising Tourism Film» («The Algarve looks good») and third in the category «Hospitality» («Your smile is one of the secrets of the Algarve»).

Produced in 2019 by New Light Pictures for Turismo do Algarve, directed by João Pedro Viegas, the film «Your smile is one of the secrets of the Algarve» was conceived as a way of thanking Algarve residents who, over the years, contribute to the region being the favorite destination of millions of Portuguese and foreign tourists.
«EuroVelo Route 1»
Created in 2020 by DNA Films, the video «Rota EuroVelo 1» promotes the transnational cycling route EuroVelo 1 – Atlantic Coast Route, which combines the majestic fjords of Norway, the wild coast of Ireland and the beaches over more than 9100 kilometers from Portugal, crossing the Algarve in a route of more than 200 kilometers.
«The Algarve suits you»
Launched in June 2020 to encourage tourists to enjoy their summer holidays in the Algarve, the film «The Algarve is good for you» has as its protagonists one of the most successful international travel influencer couples today, the @explorerssaurus_. It was developed by New Light Pictures for Turismo do Algarve and the production is signed by João Pedro Viegas.
