As he was physically well, "it was not necessary to provide medical assistance to the surfer"

A 32-year-old Mexican surfer was rescued this Wednesday, October 21, from a cliff area where he had been trapped, between the beaches of Amoreira and Monte Clérigo, in Aljezur.

The alert was received through the Lisbon Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center (MRCC Lisbon), and the Lagos Maritime Police picket was activated for the location, as well as the Aljezur Volunteer Firefighters.

"At the site it was found that the surfer was physically well, without injuries, and the wide angle team of the Voluntary Firefighters of Aljezur proceeded to rescue the surfer," says the National Maritime Authority (AMN).

As he was physically well, “it was not necessary to provide medical assistance to the surfer”.
