Olga Roriz brings new creation to Loulé

The play takes place in the future, in the year 2307, on Planet Earth 3

The play “Seis Meses Além”, by the prestigious choreographer Olga Roriz, is shown this Saturday, October 31, from 21 pm, at the Cine-Teatro Louletano, after its premiere, in September, at the Teatro Nacional D. Maria II (Lisbon). ).

«”Six Months After” began by involving a week of writing, the characters, the relationships between them, the contexts that surround them. And when I did it together, I thought that it's almost like writing a movie script», explains Olga Roriz, who, with this show, marks the 25th anniversary of Companhia Olga Roriz.

The play takes place in the future, in the year 2307, on Planet Earth 3. And it's as if we jumped forward with no memory of who we are, of what we were or have done.

And if, in her last show, 'Autopsy', Olga Roriz reflected on the negative impact that human beings have been causing to the planet, this time, in “Six Months Later”, there is a reflection on humanity that lasts in each one of us, despite a society in which everyone is a consumer but also consumed, formatted and massed.

In addition to the show at the Cineteatro Louletano, Olga Roriz also presented in Loulé, at the Auditorium of the Solar da Música Nova, her most recent book, “25 Anos: Companhia Olga Roriz”, a luxury work with photographs of all the shows choreographed and taken. to the scene for the company.

On that same night, Henrique Pina's documentary “Autopsy – the route of a creation” was also shown, which over four months follows the process of construction and deconstruction of Olga with the dancers, until reaching the final form of the show.

The show will be subject to the mandatory use of a mask, in accordance with the health and safety rules of the DGS and, exceptionally, in accordance with the Resolution of the Council of Ministers, it will be allowed to circulate for those who have already purchased a ticket and travel from neighboring counties to the municipality of Loulé.
