The Municipality of Loulé, through a partnership with Associação Dignitude, joined the “Local SNS Vaccination” Program which allows the population aged 65 and over to be vaccinated against seasonal flu free of charge at any pharmacy in the municipality.
This partnership protocol will enable 10 people, aged 65 and over and residing in the municipality of Loulé, to have free access to seasonal flu vaccine at community pharmacies.
In addition to guaranteeing a proximity service to the elderly population, this initiative will also facilitate access to vaccination, preventing travel to health centers and protecting the most vulnerable.
On the other hand, to complement this program and ensure the vaccination of the entire elderly population residing in the municipality, the Mobile Health Unit, equipped with a team of nurses, has been, since Monday, touring the interior of the municipality. municipality, namely the parishes of Ameixial, Alte, Union of Parishes of Parishes of Querença, Tôr and Benafim and Salir. This initiative is the result of a partnership between the Municipality of Loulé and the Gentes de Loulé Community Care Unit of the Algarve I Central Health Centers Group.
