Security Forces, Lagos Health Center and Schools receive vehicles on Municipality Day

Chamber will be responsible for maintenance, inspection and repair costs, car insurance and single circulation tax

The Commemorations of the Day of the Municipality of Lagos, which will be marked tomorrow, the 27th of October, will be marked by the delivery of vehicles to various entities with responsibilities in the fields of Safety, Health and Education.

In a year in which the health situation does not invite great celebrations and gatherings, the Municipality of Lagos decided to dedicate the Municipal Holiday to the reinforcement of the material resources of the various entities that perform strategic functions and indispensable services to the community, and which now, more than they are never crucial in assisting populations.

Recognizing the need to strengthen the vehicle fleet, both the local security forces – Public Security Police (PSP), Republican National Guard (GNR) and National Maritime Authority (Maritime Police) – and the ARS (Lagos Health Center) and of the school groups (Gil Eanes School Group and Júlio Dantas School Group), the Municipality will provide each of these entities with a properly characterized light vehicle.

The cooperation protocol to be signed places responsibility for maintenance, inspection and repair, car insurance and single circulation tax on the municipality's side.

The different entities will bear the costs of fuel, tolls, cleaning and other expenses related to vehicle travel.
