Covid-19: Teacher from São Brás tests positive, students are in isolation

"All the families of the students in this teacher's class were duly informed and the children are under surveillance in their homes", says the municipality

A teacher at a primary school in the municipality of São Brás tested positive for Covid-19, said this Tuesday, October 20, the City Council. The students in this teacher's class are in prophylactic isolation. 

According to the municipality, "all the families of the students in this teacher's class were properly informed and the children are under surveillance in their homes."

“All people in this teacher's network of contacts are also under surveillance, and duly monitored by the Local Health Authority,” he adds.

The local health delegate is also "monitoring and intervening in this situation, in close articulation with the Group of Schools, the City Council and other local and regional entities."

Moreover, the situation "is under control and all people are well", says the municipality.

As to the outbreak at the Santa Casa da Misericórdia home in São Brás, there is no "new data to record", the seven being infected (five users and two workers), but all "are well".
