Kits were mailed to water consumers

The Municipality of Silves has distributed kits of reusable and certified masks to the population of the municipality, the municipality announced today.

The Chamber purchased around 70 masks, in kits of two units, as a measure to combat the spread of COVID-19, "with the intention of contributing to the individual protection of residents, at a time when the country has once again entered a state of calamity."

Each kit includes an awareness and information leaflet on the importance of using a mask and complying with the DGS guidelines regarding social distancing, hand hygiene and reusable masks.

The kit was sent by mail to all water consumers in the municipality. The amount of kits allocated varies depending on the average volume of water consumption.

The distribution of masks among the population will be reinforced through the Municipal Forestry Services and the Mobile Health Unit.

All those who, eventually, have not received their mask kit by mail, should contact the Municipality through the number 282 440 868, specifically for this purpose.

The Municipality of Silves also recalls that, as part of the return to school and as an additional measure, “thousands of community masks were distributed by the school community in the municipality for use by students over 10 years old, teachers and other professionals. affections to school activity».
