The exhibition «João de Deus – the Poeta das Letras» is on display in front of the headquarters of the Parish Council of Algoz, as part of the Celebrations of the 190 Years of the birth of that poet and educator.
This bio-bibliographic street exhibition has the High Sponsorship of the President of the Republic and can be visited, in this place, until the 6th of November.
Visitors can thus discover the life and work of one of the most illustrious personalities in Portuguese literature and pedagogy, born in São Bartolomeu de Messines.
The exhibition, promoted by the Municipality of Silves, has already been present in the parishes of São Bartolomeu de Messines (March), Armação de Pêra (July and August) and Alcantarilha (September). Serra (November) and Silves (December).
The Municipality of Silves recalls the importance of adopting responsible behavior and recommends compliance with the guidelines issued by the DGS.
