The Union of Parishes of Moncarapacho and Fuzeta expresses its "deepest regret" for the death of António da Silva Dias, chairman of the Board of the Parish Assembly.
António Silva Dias was born on August 22, 1947, in Moncarapacho, and had a degree in Electromechanical Engineering from the Instituto Superior de Engenharia de Lisboa.
He was chairman of the Moncarapacho Delegation of the Portuguese Red Cross and since 2013 he has held the functions of chairman of the Board of the Parish Assembly of the União de Freguesias de Moncarapacho and Fuzeta.
According to this local authority, it has always demonstrated “a great sense of responsibility, dedication and collaboration, performing its functions in a committed manner, dignifying and valuing this institution”.
The Parish Union decreed three days of mourning, proceeding with the placing of the flag at half-mast, "as a form of expression of grief and public recognition of our entire community."
