The Câmara de Tavira will provide free school transport to all students in the municipality, in an investment of around 488 thousand euros.
"More than a thousand students, from pre-school to 12th grade, will be able to benefit from this free support", explains the Câmara de Tavira.
For this purpose, the municipality covers the entire municipality area with 17 municipal vehicles, as well as transport by EVA and CP.
It is also ensured, through the Delegation of Tavira of the Portuguese Red Cross, the transport of students with Special Educational Needs.
Tavira's School Transport Plan covers 33 establishments, totaling 3376 kilometers per day.
