Teatro das Figuras has “Letter to Amália” by Júlio Resende and homage to Beethoven

Fadista Camané and pianist Mário Laginha will also give a concert together

The show “Carta a Amália”, by Júlio Resende, a concert in homage to Beethoven and also a special moment that will bring together Camané and Mário Laginha are some of the highlights of Teatro das Figuras' October program, in Faro.

The celebration of World Music Day, on October 1st, will take place with “Carta a Amália”, by Júlio Resende, from 21 pm, a show in which, after the success of the album “Amália”, the pianist returns to honor the Fado singer, this time in an Open Letter in the form of a concert, in the year that celebrates the 30th anniversary of the birth of the greatest Fado diva.

The celebration of the 250th anniversary of Beethoven's birth takes place on the 8th (19 pm) with “Beethoven and His Time” .

The recreation of the Akademie concert, by the Orquestra Clássica do Sul, takes place on the 29th and 31st.

On October 16, at 21 pm, fado singer Camané and pianist Mário Laginha present on stage the themes taken from “Aqui está-sessegado”, an album nominated for the 30 Latin Grammys.

In the context of the poetry cycle, the first two shows are highlighted, on the 6th with the literary, musical and theatrical performance “A Gaveta de Pedra”, by Rogério Cão and Nanook, and the Poezia Bruxa with texts and voice by Pedro Monteiro and music and bass by Paulo Strak, on the 20th.

Otus, on the 24th of October, is the proposal for a contemporary circus that Companhia Oliveira & Bachtler takes to Teatro das Figuras, in an invitation to abstraction through physical theater, movement or clown technique.

In the middle of the month, on the 15th of October, the premiere of the youth theater play “Romeu e Romeu” (11:00 and 21:30), a co-production by LAMA – Algarve Arts and Media Laboratory with Teatro das Figuras and for the presentation of the play “Turma de 95”, by Raquel Castro, of which Teatro das Figuras is also a co-producer, both within the scope of the À Quintas no Teatro cycle.

The Greatest Children's Show, on October 3rd, brings together on stage some of the greatest characters in the children's world, from Bob Esponja, to Olaf, passing by Mickey and Minnie, in a multidisciplinary show for over 6 years old.

Parents with babies up to 3 years old can watch “Rollover Beethoven”, on the 11th, a proposal by Troupe dos Bichos based on dance music written by Beethoven at the end of the 3th century. XVIII. Also for children up to 25 years old, “O Meu Amigo Robô” is intended, a theater and electronic music show scheduled for the XNUMXth of October.

The online lectures on Vidas Com Arte continue, on Teatro das Figuras' Youtube channel, which began in the quarantine and are intended to make known the artistic and creative paths of artists already with signed credits but also of new emerging artists: on the 14th of October the guest is choreographer Victor Hugo Pontes.

Finally, there will continue to be the online training Create your Beat with Rafael Correia, on the 20th, and the Movement Workshop with Diogo Santos, the following day, on the 21st.
