Civilians launches the debate on “The Algarve and the water we (don't) have”

Debate will take place on Friday

Debating “The Algarve and the water that we (don't) have” is the objective of the next session of the cycle “Encontros”, which the association Cívis will promote on Friday, October 2, at 18 pm, at the Associação Recreativa e Cultural de Musicians, located in the former beer factory, in Vila Adentro de Faro.

The guest speakers are Júlio Sousa, from the Municipal Environment and Sustainable Development Directorate of the Chamber of Loulé, José Paulo Monteiro, coordinator of the CTA-UAlg Water Science and Technology Center, and Teresa Fernandes, responsible for the Communication and Environmental Education Area at Waters of the Algarve.

«The strong presence and media coverage that climate change has gained in public space requires us to open up to citizens the necessary space for information, reflection and debate, supported by the values ​​of scientific and social knowledge, by the participation of worthy and activism guests recognized,” according to Cívis.
