Amaro Antunes continues in yellow at the Volta a Portugal

Tomorrow there is ascent to the Tower

The Algarve cyclist Amaro Antunes (W52-FC Porto) continues to wear the yellow jersey of the Volta a Portugal on a bicycle, after the 3rd stage played this Wednesday, September 30th, and won by the Spaniard Oier Lazkano (Caja-Rural). 

Upon arrival in Viseu, after 171,9 kilometers, the young cyclist from Spain managed to finish ahead of the pack, making a time of 4 hours, 17 minutes and 15 seconds.

The favorites group arrived later, at 15 seconds. Alejandro Marque (Tuna General-Tavira-Maria Nova Hotel) was at the front of the pack and finished 10th.

In the individual overall, Amaro Antunes continues to lead the standings, with Frederico Figueiredo, from Tavira, in 2nd, at 13 seconds.

Vicente de Mateos (Aviludo-Louletano) is in 7th, 1 minute and 25 seconds behind Amaro Antunes.

Soon after is João Rodrigues (W52-FC Porto), in 8th, at 1 minute and 29 seconds, as well as Alejandro Marque (9th), with another minute and 1 seconds.

This Thursday, October 1st, there is a new stage. The cyclists will start in Guarda and the race will end in Torre (Covilhã), for a total of 148 kilometers.
