The Government publishes today, in Diário da República, the order authorizing the medical recruitment procedure to fill 435 jobs in the specialty of General and Family Medicine (FGM).
Of the total number of vacancies to be filled, which a note from the Ministry of Health underlines to be "the largest number in recent years", 216 are located in the Lisbon and Vale do Tejo region, 86 in the North, 64 in the Center, 34 in Alentejo and 35 in the Algarve.
In a note sent to the newsrooms, the Ministry of Health explains that, after 394 new FGM specialists successfully completed the 1st season of 2020, "the hiring of these doctors is already underway, allowing their swift placement in the primary health care network'.
