The 10th edition of Farcume – International Short Film Festival of Faro ends this Saturday, August 29, with a last session, starting at 21 pm, at the Municipal Museum of Faro.
The last session will be entirely dedicated to Portuguese short films and will feature the presence of directors Vera Casaca and Hugo Pinto, who will present their films to the public: “If Poirot were here” (2019) and “Ao Telephone with God” (2017 ) both by Vera Casaca, and “A Escritora” (2019) and the “Intruder” (2020), by Hugo Pinto.
The closing session will feature the presence of actor Eduardo Frazão and actress Cláudia Semedo.
Eduardo Frazão, one of the protagonists of the film “If Poirot were here”, by the Algarve director Vera Casaca, is known by the general public for his participation in the series “Os Filhos do Rock”, “Coração de Ouro” and “Daughter of the Law”.
Cláudia Semedo is the protagonist of the short film “O Intruso” by Lisbon director Hugo Pinto, with whom she also collaborated in the direction of actors in the film “A Escritora”. Well known by the general public for her work in television series such as “Maternity” and in the telenovela “Quer o Destino” on TVI, Cláudia Semedo has also participated in films such as “O Crime do Padre Amaro” and “The last flight of the Flamingo ”.
During the ceremony, the winners of the 10th edition of this Festival will also be presented, in the Fiction, Animation and Documentary categories. This year, the organization of Farcume instituted a new award, the Best Actress/Actor Award.
O Farcume – International Short Film Festival of Faro, organized by FARO 1540 – Association for the Defense and Promotion of the Environmental and Cultural Heritage of Faro, took place in three Algarve cities: Faro, Olhão and Loulé.
This edition featured the screening of around 58 films from 21 countries, corresponding to three categories: fiction, documentary and animation.
