The roof of a building «burnt to the ground» this Saturday at the end of the afternoon, in the Lethes Theater area, in Faro, and destroyed solar panels installed there.

The fire, which broke out at about 18:45 pm, did not affect other floors of the property and "did not cause any victims, nor any evictees," as he revealed to the Sul Informação the District Relief Operations Command (CDOS) of Faro.

Even so, "people were removed from the building, while the fight against the flames took place, as a precaution," the CDOS said.

According to our newspaper, the fire started in the synthetic grass existing on the roof of the building, and then spread to the solar panels.

The fire fighting involved 12 operational, supported by 7 vehicles, from the Firefighters Sapadores de Faro and PSP.
