888 kilos of sardines, with an estimated value of 5300 euros, were seized this Friday, 21 August, at the Docapesca de Portimão.
According to the GNR, "during an inspection, the military detected that the total allowable catch (TAC) of a fishing vessel licensed for the art of seine had been exceeded when unloading fresh fish into the auction ».
The offender, a 49-year-old man, was identified and the respective administrative offense was drawn up, with a fine of up to 37 euros.
As for the fish “it was submitted to the regime of first sale at auction, at Docapesca de Portimão, and the value of its sale was deposited in the order of the process”.
