Silves creates “Laços d'Ajuda” with Portuguese League Against Cancer

In total, 475 pieces were produced

The Silves Council's Lifelong Education Hubs joined a project by the Portuguese League Against Cancer, producing temporary breast implants, masks and drain bags.

A total of 475 pieces were produced, including “temporary breast prostheses, drain bags, ostomy protection bags and masks for gifts to patients,” says the Silves City Council.

The aim was to help the sick, "trying to minimize their suffering". At the same time, the Lifelong Education Hubs fulfilled "their character of social and solidarity development in the community".

The Municipality of Silves even leaves «a public recognition and thanks to all users who have contributed in solidarity actions through their activities».
