The Municipality of Portimão is the only one in the Algarve region to comply with all the good practices indicated by the National Cybersecurity Center (CNCS), within the scope of Webcheck project.
For this purpose, the Municipality of Portimão has implemented several measures in terms of security, related to the availability of the website cm-portimao.pt and the email system that serves the municipality, to the point where the Municipality of Portimão integrates the 35% of national entities that are currently successfully complying with the measures recommended by the CNCS.
Webcheck.pt is a joint initiative of CNCS and DNS.PT Association, with the objective of promoting the adoption of good practices and standards that contribute to guarantee the security, integrity and confidentiality of communications over the internet.
This platform allows any citizen or entity to verify, in real time, the level of compliance of an internet and email domain with the latest standards for secure communication between systems, facilitating the identification of the necessary technical measures that ensure greater resilience and security of online presence and communication.
Webcheck.pt also provides a set of technical recommendations and tutorials, in order to help the implementation of the main security standards evaluated, and the project can be consulted at https://webcheck.pt/pt/
