Algarve's municipalities and cultural agents can now apply for support for network cultural programming

ERDF co-financing allocation to be allocated to all operations to be selected is 800 thousand euros

Municipalities and cultural agents in the Algarve can now apply for Notice no. ALG-14-2020-15, published this week by the CRESC Algarve 2020 Operational Programme, which provides support for network cultural programming.

The Notice provides for the financing of events associated with heritage, culture and cultural goods, with a high impact in terms of projecting the image of the region, through network programming at inter-municipal and/or regional level, as well as the dissemination and territorial integration , through territorial and institutional cooperation initiatives that allow the integration of cultural programming, guided tours and the dissemination of cultural equipment and goods in the Algarve.

The competition is intended to grant «financial support for investments aimed at promoting the dynamism, promotion and development of cultural heritage, as an instrument of differentiation and competitiveness of territories, namely through their qualification and tourist development, favoring cooperation, partnerships and the networking of Municipalities, private non-profit entities and cultural agents, through protocol».

The duration of the operations may reach a maximum of 18 months and the co-financing rate will be regressive, being 100% in the first year and, if the cultural programming is carried out continuously, 95% in the second year of the operation.

Applications can be submitted until 31 August and the ERDF co-financing allocation to be allocated to all operations to be selected under this Notice is 800 thousand euros.
