Isilda Gomes makes a “virtual leg” at Marafada Quarantine

Boa Esperança show will be on stage during the month of August

August will be the month of a “Marafada Quarantine” at the Great Auditorium of TEMPO – Teatro Municipal de Portimão. Boa Esperança's latest comedy, inspired by the current pandemic, promises “lots of laughter” and mayor Isilda Gomes will also play a “virtual leg” in the show.

The show will take the stage on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, between 1 and 29 August, at 21 pm, respecting the contingency plan imposed by the General Directorate of Health.

The play, created by Carlos Pacheco, is centered on «the adventures of a family that is as hilarious as it is dysfunctional, during the period of confinement due to Covid-19», says the Municipality of Portimão.

“When a state of emergency is decreed, panic sets in in the small apartment of the Sampaio family, who are on the verge of divorce. Everything starts to go wrong, when Anatolio Sampaio, banker and head of the family, realizes that – thanks to the new coronavirus – all his plans are going down the drain. Now, and for an indefinite period, he will have to share his apartment with his family… and with some unwanted ones».

The comedy is starred by the theatrical cast of Boa Esperança Atlético Clube Portimonense, who challenged the mayor of Portimão, Isilda Gomes, to make a “virtual little leg”, “with the mayor gladly accepting the invitation”, says the Chamber of Portimao.

The show is aimed at people over 12 years old and has a limited capacity, with tickets costing 10 euros. Reservations can be made here, or by the following contacts: 282402475 or 961579917.
