Illegal festival of Lagos has already made «about 60» infected

According to Paulo Morgado, there are still two people hospitalized

A illegal party, which took place on the 7th of June, in Odiáxere (Lagos), has already made «about 60» infected, has just revealed Paulo Morgado, president of the Regional Health Administration (ARS) of the Algarve.

Speaking to journalists, at the headquarters of the ARS, in Faro, Paulo Morgado said that the cases “are not all from Lagos”.

Despite the fact that most of them are, there are cases «in other municipalities in the Algarve», such as Lagoa and Portimão, and even «outside» the region.

The cases “are all under investigation” and, so far, “more than 500 tests have been carried out”. The screening will "continue to people who were at the party or who had contact with someone who was," said Paulo Morgado.

A last update of the number of cases was made yesterday by Graça Freitas, general director of Health, and accounted for 37 infected. Now, the values started to grow again.

According to Paulo Morgado, there are still two people hospitalized, aged 27 and 39, related to this party, which will have brought together around 100 people at the Clube Desportivo de Odiáxere.
