Covid-19: Algarve keeps the same cases, Alentejo with two more

Data from the epidemiological bulletin of this Thursday, June 4th

The Algarve has 376 cases of Covid-19, while the Alentejo registers 262 infected, two more than yesterday, according to data from the epidemiological bulletin of the Directorate-General for Health (DGS) this Thursday, 4 June.

Regarding the daily situation made by the DGS, in the Algarve there are no changes compared to yesterday, despite the regional health authority registering another case (377) and another death (16) in the Algarve region, such as the Sul Informação exclusive revealed this wednesday.

In relation to Alentejo, the bulletin reports two more cases this Thursday, bringing the total to 262. The number of deaths in this region remains one.

Across the country, there are today 33 cases accumulated since the beginning of the pandemic (592 more than yesterday), the overwhelming majority in the Lisbon and Vale do Tejo region. As for deaths, at a national level, Covid-331 was responsible for a total of 19, with today 1455 more deaths than yesterday.

 

 

As for people who have recovered from the disease, there are now 20.323, 244 more than yesterday.

At the moment, this is the distribution of cases by region, in numbers accumulated since the beginning of the pandemic: North (16.819, plus 15), Lisbon and Vale do Tejo (12.137, plus 309), Center (3770, plus 5), Algarve (376, no new cases, in the DGS accounts), Alentejo (260, plus 2), Azores (138, no new cases) and Madeira (90, no new cases).

The number of people admitted to all hospitals in the country is now 445, 17 more than yesterday, 58 of which are in intensive care (2 more).

Today there are 1741 people awaiting laboratory results, 203 fewer than this Wednesday. People under surveillance by health authorities are today 28.685, 093 more than yesterday.

As of January 1, the total number of suspected cases was 333.106, but 297.773 of those have not been confirmed.
