António Pina appointed non-executive member of the Algarve Operational Program

Place was vacant since Jorge Botelho joined the Government

António Pina, president of the Municipality of Olhão and of the Intermunicipal Community of the Algarve (AMAL), was appointed as a non-executive member of the steering committee of the Algarve Operational Programme. The nomination order was published this Thursday, June 4th, in Diário da República.

The position had been vacant since October, when Jorge Botelho assumed functions in the Government as Secretary of State for Decentralization and Local Administration, leaving the presidency of AMAL and also the role of non-executive member of the Algarve Operational Programme.

The occupant of this function is appointed by the National Association of Portuguese Municipalities (ANMP), which, at the request of the Government, appointed António Pina, current president of the association of Algarve municipalities.
