The Municipal Assembly (AM) of Portimão approved, in the session of this Monday, June 29, unanimously, a recommendation, presented by the PSD, focused on the strengthening of mobility «integrated, inclusive, intermodal and smooth».
The proposal presented by Carlos Gouveia Martins, leader of the PSD/Portimão, aims to integrate measures in the Municipal Master Plan, under discussion and analysis to date, to define a municipal strategy aimed at encouraging Smooth Mobility and, above all, creating a Municipal Mobility Pact.
In addition to this, there is a promotion of «literacy, in the council's schools, on decarbonisation».
For Carlos Gouveia Martins, this «is a proposal that seeks the interests of the Municipality and the people of Portimo, which is well prepared and has been extraordinarily worked on by the mayors and Political Commission of the PSD and the clear sign is the approval and appreciative sense of all forces policies with a seat in the Municipal Assembly».
«The PSD of Portimão has, and this matter of mobility is notorious in this, a strategy, has ideas and solutions that serve as an alternative for the management that Portimão has. Opposition is insufficient, it is necessary to present alternatives and that is what we have been doing and the city already recognizes», he concludes.
