High school students are challenged to do “Science in the south” during the UAlg Summer Courses

Registration is open until the 21st

The “Science in the south” competition will give participants in the “Summer Courses” of the University of Algarve the opportunity to learn more about science, while giving free rein to their imagination.

Enrolling in this contest can be done until the 21st of June, within the scope of the application to the “Summer Courses”, an initiative aimed at secondary school students that this year will take place online.

this contest «it is a renewed version of the Project “Mitose: science a south” which has completed, with this name, seven editions».

Participants are challenged to produce a video, with a maximum duration of 3 minutes, «that focuses on one of the scientific experiences lived at UAlg during the Summer Courses, which can be publicly presented», according to the Algarve university, which promotes the competition with the support of the Associação Juvenil de Ciência (AJC), the Centro Ciência Viva do Algarve and the FNAC.

The summer courses will take place in July and the works must be sent to the email [email protected] by the 31st of August, accompanied by a text with a maximum of 1000 characters that answers the question “Why study at UAlg?” .
