Users return to Lar da Misericórdia in Boliqueime after isolation in a hotel

Part of the users who tested negative for Covid-19 on April 3rd, and who have since been accommodated in a hotel in Vilamoura, returned yesterday (30th) to the Santa Casa da Misericórdia Home in Boliqueime, announced the City Council of Loule.

The Portuguese Red Cross operationalized the transfer of the 13 elderly people, an action also accompanied by elements of the Civil Protection and Municipal Firefighters.

During this last week, procedures were carried out to prepare the facilities of the Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Boliqueime Home for the return of negative users.

In this sense, similarly to what had already happened with the 2nd floor of the home, last Monday, the 1st floor was also the target of a disinfection operation, carried out by the Emergency Intervention and Protection Brigade, of the Emergency Unit. Emergency Protection and Relief, National Republican Guard.

After the decontamination process, the Municipality of Loulé hired a specialized company to clean and sanitize the space, so that users could return in sanitary conditions.

Over the next week, new tests are planned for both users and employees of the home, and then an assessment will be made of the pandemic situation in this home in Boliqueime, which has had daily monitoring by the municipality since the beginning. of Loule.

In this Home, since the beginning of the Covid-19 outbreak, the death of three users who had been admitted to the hospital in Faro.

Last night, the 30th, the provider of Santa Casa, in her daily situation, announced the “evacuation of a positive patient to the hospital, for now as a precaution, as she had breathing difficulties”.

In the opposite direction, there was also the "discharge of two of the four users who were" in the hospital of Faro.
