An Ambiolhão employee died this morning in a collision that involved a municipal company's garbage collection truck and another heavy vehicle, on the Nascente de Olhão bypass, which gives access to the Industrial Zone.
Source of the District Relief Operations Command told the Sul Informação that in addition to the mortal victim, who was outside the garbage collection truck, the driver of the other heavy vehicle, this one for transporting goods, was also injured, but not seriously.
Still, he was transported to the Hospital of Faro.
According to the same source, the alert was given at 8:50 am.
In the relief operations, 18 workers were involved, supported by 8 vehicles, from the Firefighters of Olhão, INEM, PSP and Municipal Police.
