Covid-19: Algarve with three more cases, Alentejo unchanged

There are three more cases of Covid-19 in the Algarve than yesterday and again there is no increase in the number of infected in the Alentejo, revealed the General Directorate of Health (DGS) in the epidemiological bulletin this Sunday, 31 May.

The number of cases in the Algarve region is now 370, in numbers accumulated since the beginning of the pandemic. In Alentejo, the same 259 accumulated cases of yesterday remain.

Across the country, there are now 32.500 cases accumulated since the beginning of the pandemic (297 more than yesterday).

There are also a national total of 1410 deaths, 14 more than on Saturday. In the Algarve and Alentejo, there are no new deaths to register.

As for people who have recovered from the disease, there are now 19409, 223 more than yesterday.

In all hospitals in the country, there are now 474 hospitalized people, 40 fewer than yesterday, 64 of them in intensive care (1 more).

 

 

At the moment, this is the distribution of cases by region, in numbers accumulated since the beginning of the pandemic: North (16.760, plus 21), Lisbon and Vale do Tejo (11.142, plus 268), Center (3744, plus 5), Algarve (370, plus 3), Alentejo (259, no new cases), Azores (135, no new cases) and Madeira (90, no new cases).

There are, today, 2016 citizens awaiting laboratory results, 118 fewer than yesterday. People under surveillance by health authorities are 27.924 today, 259 less than yesterday.

As of January 1, the total number of suspected cases was 325.026, but 290.510 of those have not been confirmed.
