VRSA Chamber clarifies merchants on reopening rules

The Chamber has also placed signs warning "the mandatory use of masks and the need to maintain social distance and frequent hand hygiene"

The Vila Real de Santo António City Council (VRSA) is helping merchants in the county to reopen their businesses, clarifying doubts about the procedures to be adopted in this first phase of decontamination.

These doubts were clarified during institutional visits to establishments and commercial spaces of the county seat, of Monte Gordo and Vila Nova de Cacela, which were attended by Conceição Cabrita, the president of the Chamber of VRSA, the presidents of the Parish Councils, civil protection, the VRSA health delegate and security forces.

However, «signage has already been placed in the main commercial areas of the three parishes, warning of the mandatory use of masks and the need to maintain social distance and frequent hand hygiene», revealed the Chamber of VRSA.

"In the same line, informative material was distributed, thus promoting the awareness of the population and merchants to the procedures to be adopted, in order to reinforce the hygiene and safety measures", added the municipality.

The Chamber of VRSA is also already promoting the phased reopening of municipal services, «in a regime of weekly rotating shifts and working at a distance, and is providing all personal protective equipment in order to minimize the spread of the virus both among employees and collaborators or among the citizens».
