General People's Union of China Association donates 8000 surgical masks to Loulé City Council

Masks will help the municipality's employees return to face-to-face work

The General People's Union Association of China in Portugal donated 8000 surgical masks to the Loulé Chamber, which will contribute "to the process of retaking the municipality's employees" to the face-to-face work regime.

In a note sent to the editorial offices, signed by Vítor Aleixo, mayor of Loulé, the municipality thanks "publicly to the General People's Union Association of China in Portugal for the donation of 8.000 disposable masks (surgical)", "at a time when the country it is in a process of progressive deconfinement, in which the use of masks is essential for the continuation of people's daily activities, namely with regard to the resumption of face-to-face work in the services».

According to the Loulé City Council, "the material will contribute to the process of retaking the employees of this city council which plans to reduce, little by little and according to the rules established by the DGS, the number of employees in teleworking regime, as early as the beginning of June ,
when the necessary safety conditions are created'.

«In this way, it is, from now on, and on behalf of all the employees who will benefit from the donated material, our thanks for the generosity of the General People's Union Association of China in Portugal», concludes the Chamber of Loulé.
