"We are also doing research from the disappearance zone to the source, by discharge of conscience", he explained.

The search area extends “from Praia do Barranco das Canas to Barra de Alvor”. This Thursday, May 28, operations began "around 6:30 am with patrols in water and on land."

The searches have not yet been successful and González Paços said that "the device, of course, will be re-adapted".

“In this type of mission, in the early days, the device is reinforced. We go in with everything, with all the means we have. As time goes by and we are aware that the chances of success are decreasing, the device has to be adapted to maintain a capacity to remain on the ground here too», said the captain of the Port of Portimão to Sul Informação.

It is certain that «we are not abandoning: we are going to continue», he reinforced.

As for the "abnormal" number of pre-drowning situations or people in difficulty, in recent days, González Paços called for "people to redouble their attention and be very careful when going to the beaches, until the lifeguard device is reestablished. ».
