Faro and Beja are two of the 10 districts under yellow warning, due to heavy rain, hail and thunderstorm

According to IPMA, the yellow warning will be in effect between 12:00 and 18:00 today

Faro, Beja, Portalegre, Setúbal, Évora are five of the 10 districts of mainland Portugal that are this Monday, the 20th, under yellow warning, due to the forecast of heavy rain, hail and thunderstorm.

The Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) forecasts for today, in the South, «Cit is generally very cloudy', as well as 'periods of rain from the morning on the west coast, extending to the other regions, and it will sometimes be heavy, gradually passing to a regime of rains, locally heavy, and which may occasionally be of hail and accompanied by thunderstorms and strong gusts».

The wind will be light to moderate (up to 30 km/h) from the west quadrant, rotating towards the south quadrant starting in the morning, and blowing temporarily strong (35 to 50 km/h) on the coast and in the highlands, becoming in general weak on the coast north of Sines, gradually from mid-afternoon, and running to the west quadrant in the southern region.

There is also the possibility of formation of mist or morning fog in some places.
