Covid-19: Minister of Home Affairs visits Algarve tomorrow

Minister attends session with migrant agricultural workers and meets virtually with mayors

The minister of Internal Administration will be in the Algarve tomorrow morning, to accompany an awareness and clarification session, within the scope of the Covid-19 pandemic, aimed at migrant communities in an agricultural holding in the municipalities of Tavira and Olhão.

On this visit to the Fazenda Nova farm, in the Estiramantens site, Eduardo Cabrita will be accompanied by Sónia Pereira, High Commissioner for Migration, Secretary of State José Apolinário, coordinator in the Algarve Region of the implementation of the State Emergency Declaration, and the presidents of the Chambers of Tavira (Ana Paula Martins) and Olhão (António Pina).

Then, the minister participates, in a briefing to be held at the District Command Post of the Regional Emergency and Civil Protection Command (CREPC) of the Algarve, in Loulé. This was followed, in the same place, by a working meeting, via Video Teleconference (VTC), with the presidents of the Algarve Municipal Councils.
