Covid-19: Algarve exceeds 200 cases and registers 2 more deaths, Alentejo has 82 infected

Data from the DGS epidemiological bulletin this Sunday, April 5th

The Algarve has 201 cases of Covid-19 but has already registered 7 deaths, 2 more than yesterday, according to today's data from the epidemiological bulletin of the Directorate-General for Health (DGS), which has just been released.

In Alentejo, the number of cases also rose, reaching 82.

By region, the most affected continues to be the North, with 6530 cases, that is, about half of the national total, followed by Lisbon and Vale do Tejo (2904), Center (1442), Algarve (201), Alentejo ( 82), Azores (67) and Madeira (52).

Across the country, the number of infected is now 11278 (accumulated data), that is, an increase of 744 (an increase of close to 7%) and the number of deaths 295, 29 more than yesterday.

There are still 1084 people hospitalized nationwide, of which 267 are in Intensive Care. These numbers are very similar to those released yesterday.

At this moment, 4962 people are awaiting laboratory results, while another 23.209 are in surveillance contact with the health authorities.

As of January 1, there have been 86370 suspected cases, but 70.130 of those have not been confirmed. The bulletin data still maintains the same number of recovered people as yesterday (75).
